PadPower is a powerup mixed with damage and protection. It amplifies a weapon's damage by a factor of 2, absorbs half damage from direct hits, full protection against splash and self damages, and allows the bearer to enter lava and slime without being harmed for 30 seconds.
Strategies[]
- With PadPower, you are a killing machine! Since splash damage doesn't affect you, use Betty/Balloony Jump to move around. You can also get close and personal with the Betty without worrying about splash damage, so don't worry if somebody suddenly appears in front of you. Just remember that weapons can still harm you, so don't think you're invincible.
- Direct hit from explosive launchers can still harm PadPower users, but the PadPower user can spam explosives in tight quarters.
- If you see somebody with a PadPower, take out a powerful and quick projectile weapon, such as the Bubble G. or Splasher and use it against him. His suit only gives him little protection against non-splash damage and hitscan damages. Try to predict his movements (if possible), then blow him away.
- The PadPower will also keep the player from drowning. PadPower does NOT protect you from the void.
Trivia[]
PadPower's damage amplitude is controlled by g_quadfactor console command. The default is 2, this means weapons will deal 2x damage and vice versa.
